Crab Dip Recipe & Baked Pita Chips Recipe

Entertaining? This is a perfect and easy to make dish for your guests! I made this for a play date that I had with some mommas and their babies and then again for my dad and Steve for a hockey game watching session.

Crab Dip Recipe

You’ll need:

11 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 small onion, finely chopped (or, I used 2 tsps of onion soup mix instead)
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained and flaked
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (I omitted this)
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion (or, onion soup mix), mayonnaise, crabmeat, garlic powder (I omitted this), salt and pepper. Spread mixture into a 1 quart baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.

Baked Pita Chips Recipe

You’ll need:

12 pita bread pockets
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried chervil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Cut each pita bread into 8 triangles. Place triangles on lined cookie sheet. In a small bowl, combine the oil, pepper, salt, basil and chervil. Brush each triangle with oil mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes, or until lightly browned and crispy. Watch carefully, as they tend to burn easily!

Serve both together & enjoy!
